I’m still befuzzled about the how and why of this whole chicken and waffles thing.........my wife is all into a good bowl of grits (it’s like a mouthful of wet cement to me), and all that other Southern stuff - black-eyed peas, okra, all that jazz, but she was born here in Alabama (more specifically, Atlanta, and moved here as a small child), but even she can’t explain the marriage of chicken and waffles.
This is exactly what has been pointed out over and over about the left. In general, the ones whining about their white privilege and lecturing everyone about how Black lives matter are some of the most tone-deaf, racist people around.

On Columbus Day no one is offended by a spaghetti dinner. On St. Patrick’s Day no one is offended by corned beaf and cabbage (yea, I know that it is not really Irish). During Oktoberfest no one is offended by German food. On Chinese New Year no one is offended by a Chinese dinner. Etc., etc., etc. Yet, on a holiday for African-Americans it is offensive to serve African-American food and on a holiday for Mexicans it is offensive to serve Mexican food. What is wrong with this picture?
