Earlier this year, NASCAR jettisoned Kyle Larson because he dared utter the word over the radio on a non-NASCAR related video race. This was way before the current BLM insanity.
At the end of the day, Wallace is using this to get better finishes. Who in their right mind is going to race him hard and risk wrecking the black guy?
Last year, he suffered a bout of depression after breaking up with his girlfriend. (supposedly, maybe that was a scam too)
He gained an incredible amount of support and sympathy from the fan community.
