"...in a statement to the Detroit News, the police department said the driver was attempting to leave the scene after a rear back window had been busted out.
The officer tried to escape, the department told the News.>>"
That's NOT a peaceful protest.
Frankly anyone in these ‘never peaceful’ riots/protests does so at their own risk......most are unlawful so shouldn’t be there in the first place.....and I don’t care what the police do. I’ve yet to see any of these where these gatherings aren’t flipping off cops, spitting, shouting all sorts vulgarities in officers faces and various other attacks.
These are not protests....
Yeah. “Largely peaceful” still means violent. I don’t blame anyone caught in a “protest” for doing anything, up to and including using deadly force, to escape the situation. Largely peaceful is fine, until that one {expletive} who is ready, willing, maybe even paid-to take things to the next level comes along with a brick, or a pipe or a cheap handgun... I do not want to be the first victim when “largely peaceful” becomes “riot.” Given recent history I say deadly force is justified the moment any “protest” forms. Get out, get away, no matter what you have to do.
How many busted windows, attacked cops and looted businesses in a ‘largely peaceful’?
Oh my God! one woman is heard screaming. Oh my God!
Naturally...the natives always use their limited vocabulary. I guess she must have used up all of her FU supply.
Another feel-good story! I just love these!
Now wait a minute.....the other 95% cheer on the violence etc. so any there are not guiltless..
About f***ing time. This needs to spread.
Aren't they all until they aren't. /sarcasm
this is the opening line of every article published by the Compost, regarding riots.
The back of a cop SUV is all weapons. They had to get out of there.
Ditto. I’ll play along during jury selection. But the moment the case is handed to the jury I’m an automatic and immovable not guilty. Protest? Riot? Blocked your path? Done, not guilty. If someone is too stupid to get out of the way of a moving vehicle whatever happens next is on them. They intentionally put themselves in that danger.
I hope the vehicle wasn’t injured.
The new double-speak narrative the Compost always pushes to start off on a published article that involves unlawful behavior.
Instead of screaming at the Driver, why don’t the idiots get out of his way and quit jumping on the hood?
Always happens to those ‘peaceful protesters, huh? /s
What a pile of posturing verbiage. Inflammatory and misleading, portraying the police as bad and the "largely" peaceful anarchists as good.
Not if they were "peacefully" climbing on the hood. Its sort of like:
"Peacefully" smashing windows
"Peacefully" burning down businesses
"Peacefully" looting
"Peacefully" assaulting people
Hard to think clearly at the moment. The officer could have driven down the road quite a ways with the guy on the hood, then, when out of distance of the others, stopped, gotten out and beat the living tarnation out of the protester.
And you know these lunkheads are doing it not because they are "Down with the Struggle" but because they want to brag to their friends that, "Dude! I climbed on the hood of a police car! Dude!"
These "Black Lives Matter" protests composed mostly of bored white kids who have been quarantined in the house for three months are just absurd.
