The answer to your question is no, I never wear a mask outdoors unless I just left a place and haven't removed it yet.

Maybe, maybe not. There is always exposure with or without masks. Some virus particles land and there could be some immune response. I don't know how infected a person has to get to develop antibodies.

To offer useful protection a mask has to be properly designed and fit. The usual homemade mask is far from the mark. One that is properly designed will be very uncomfortable for most people in the coming hot humid months. Certainly there is no valid reason for a healthy person going about their business in the great outdoors to wear one.

In situations where it is valid the mask should never be considered a stand alone method of infection control.
