I actually think PDJT would happily would go quietly from the White House this very day, and return to private life. (The left will make every day of the rest of his life a living hell, no matter what he does.)
The only thing stopping him is that he has promised us that he will try to fix things, and drain the swamp. People who know him, e.g., Rush, say he absolutely keeps his promises.
That would be viewed as failure on their part. They want a clean kill, so to speak, without Trump having the temerity to challenge their theft in court.
