This is disgusting. There are exceptions you could claim. The easiest is that you have a medical condition. Everyone has some medical condition! But, according to HIPPA laws, it is illegal to inquire as to what that condition is. So, claim a medical exemption and breath free!
there is a $500 fine for non-compliance. Is this the hill you want to die upon? My daughter says yes, it is. We are on the slippery slope. How far downward do we wish to go?
She’s a republican.
I have an old respirator for painting and other chem-type fumes, you know the type, rubber mask, replaceable elements, that I considered wearing just to make a point.
I realized no one would get my sarcasm when I saw people wearing similar gear, and they definitely weren’t joking around, so I let the idea go.
Also most studies do not include masking the positives only the negatives. When you mask both positive and negative there will be a better effect.
What does that even mean?
I voted for her. Politicians are like a box of chocolates. But this is nothing compared to raising gas taxes the minute she won re-election.

Yep, I feel your pain. I’m in Chambers County.
Until Nov......
Masks remind people there is a ****demic.
No school remind voters our kids are in danger
Stores monitored .. counted
... floors marked 6 ft...in this door, out this door remind voters they are taking care of your safety.
Haha
Constant numbers.. bogus c19 numbers... remind us this is not over...not till nov
AND its all Trump’s fault
We are literally considering the same thing.
LOL....there’s that.
:-)
Safety is just down there!
I’m disappointed in Ivey. The requirement is unnecessary and the fine is too high.
I’m down here in Lee County living in Phenix City and working at Auburn U. I’m surprised how many Alabamians are turning into Mister Monk.

Yes, there are exceptions but those exceptions can get you in trouble. Our county allows mask removal when masks interfere with communications. A server we know was reprimanded for dropping his mask because an elderly, hard of hear, person could not understand him. Two couples reported him to management. Rather than cite the exception, management reprimanded the server.
There are exceptions for medical conditions. Everyone has some sort of medical conditions. But, according to HIPPA laws, it is illegal for someone to inquire as to what those conditions are.
Yes, I think this is a hill to die on. Individual rights and liberties are at stake. But, if they can get you to comply with something innocuous, like mask-wearing, it makes the harder edicts more difficult to resist.
Claim a medical exemption! (I live in Lee County and in Auburn.) But Mee-Maw has overstepped.
I heard Ivey explain corona policy yesterday, and she spoke slowly and sounded stupid.
Governor Maw Maw is in on the scam. A lady in my neighborhood contracted COVID. Her husband tested negative, but was reported as a new case.
My son passed out from dehydration umping baseball last Saturday. They put a lot of pressure on him to COVID test. He refused because we are certain he had it back in December . . . all the COVID symptoms, but tested negative for the flu.
What infuriates me is that the Guv orders the masks, while there are major league questions about the integrity of the data. I can only conclude that our Gov. is in on the scam . . . and it IS a scam.
Shes not, usually.....thats why this surprises me
