You may be thinking of the Bloomsburg State Fair...always came right after the York Fair.
I used to watch the PRR shunting James Strates Shows fleet of cars to load the rides to take them to Bloomsburg. Both locales were on PRR trackage.

Lieutenant Roscoe, NYPD, is hellbent on arresting the racers. After a series of failed attempts, wasting lots of time and effort from police departments across the country, Roscoe has a bunch of police cars lined up near Long Beach, ready to speed after the Ferrari and a Cobra and arrest them. However the racers drive by the speed trap at 55mph.
Roscoe, crying, looks up in the sky, and says, "why...why?" The camera pans to the sky and a voice says "You're an a****le, Roscoe. That's why." (No, it wasn't God...it was an angry fellow policeman.)
It usually isn't because of what you look like, how you dress, your sexual preferences, your race, your religion, or which sports team you like....more often than not, if you're called a****le, it's because...you're a****le.
Dr Levine, it's not because of your gender choice or your clothes....
