The sheriff looks a little silly with this over-reaction. He isn’t thin, but he’s hardly a beached whale. He’d have done better to ignore it when he’s running for re-election.
All of the medical stuff I’ve ever read refers to it as “fat”. There is no other word for it. Even at the cellular level, it’s called fat, as in “fat cells” and “layers of fat”. I would think he’d be more offended by Bob Marley and Eric Clapton’s cover of “I Shot The Sheriff” or is he a “She-riff”?
