If you keep misidentifying the chaos as a "civil war", you only ignore the disease and remove any hope of actually curing it...
This is not a "civil war", nor a lead-up to one... Stop helping to perpetuate the chaos... The real civil war was about separating a nation into separate entities...
This chaos is just part of a revolution to overthrow the U.S. government and destroy the Nation's economic, moral, and legal structure completely so it can be restructured...

See post 28. That is a correct representation. The military was not with Trump and has had to be prodded every step of the way to do anything. Trump is trying to do this with DHS and FPS officers and whatever he and his team can cobble together. We are spread very thin.
Then the military needs to come home—and the generals, admirals etal need to find a real day job.

First, allow police to justifiably use proportionate force to protect themselves, law abiding citizens and property.

Don't prosecute Uncle Ike if he shoots someone for smashing his window and trying to throw a molotov cocktail inside his occupied business.
Publicly proclaim that fireworks are now considered ieds and their use will be met with lethal force.
Same goes for molotov cocktails, lasers, guns, knives, clubs, pepper spray and tazers.
Publicly proclaim that laws forbidding the blocking of public roads will be enforced and that citizens that do not stop will not be prosecuted. Bring in federal police and NG if this doesn't work.
Charge the ass****s, federally, with insurrection.

Iowa is a lot like Minnesota. I don’t get it, either. I miss Oklahoma and Texas, especially during the winter. ;-)
