"Our elderly citizens are really getting hammered physically and emotionally. Really? Because the old people I know, and I, have been through worse than this."Many have been through worse, as you say. Nonetheless, isolation is tough on many people, and when they know that they have few remaining good years, it is even harder. I think the uncertainty is part of the challenge. People ask 'when will it be over?', and since it is a mix of sickness and politics, there aren't any good answers.
