Most folks may not be aware, but every year the vaccine companies formulate a new Influenza vaccine with 4-5 different strains of Flu that they THINK will be effective for the coming Flu season...
And, each year the effectiveness ranges from about 10% to about 60%...
So, Faucxi is saying that the Covid-19 vaccine will likely be as effective (or ineffective) as the Flu shot...
And, if the Covid shot turns out to be at best about 50-60% effective, why are they (Fauxci & Gates) pushing for Universal vaccination for Covid?
So, we all have to get the Covid shot and we also will still have to wear a mask, goggles, face shield plus continue social-distancing, no handshakes, no in-person school, no sports...
Basically continued suffering for at least the foreseeable future...
At least until early November...!!!

Yes, a good year can see a flu vaccine up to about 50% effective.

Because this is not a flu. It's a completely different virus. Humans are more closely related to snails than Influenza is to SARS-CoV-2.

That has nothing to do with it. Influenza has multiple strains, each of which mutates at a rapid pace and any of which can become highly active in human populations from one season to the next. On top of that, current vaccines take months to adapt and produce because they must be "grown" (technically cultured). So between the time when we identify which strains are likely to be active, produce a working vaccine, grow it, package it, and get it into the hands of people like you and me, there have been months of time for the strains to mutate or for another strain to become more active. So the vaccine isn't as effective as it would have been.
SARS-CoV-2 on the other hand seems to be very stable. There's only one strain and there have been no significant changes seen with it to suggest our immune system would no longer be effective against it after either infection or vaccination.
As for the future, one of the vaccines being tested for SARS-CoV-2 is a third generation vaccine that doesn't require any culturing. It can be produced very quickly and very cheaply. Since it can be produced so quickly, there's a lot of potential for it to be much more effective against Influenza in the future, which could save tens of thousands of lives each year in the US.

Somewhere around 12 - 15% of the country has already been infected and should have immunity. We’ll probably be close to 20% by the time a vaccine has any widespread rollout. Even if it’s only 50% effective, we only need to get to around 70% immunity to reach herd immunity. At that point, the virus will pretty much burn itself out and we can end all the masks and social distancing and shutdowns.
Not much money in vaccines. Remdesivir is the way to go. It’s much more expensive, so FauXi can fill his pockets with much more money.
Let the virus take its course.
I suppose the next bad flu season we get we'll all be back in lockdown again if Fauci and his band have their way.
