James 1:27
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

Stupid picture but harmless. Whatever he was thinking it was a bad idea. This picture is going to hound him the rest of his life and throw this character and judgment into question.
To: SanchoP
If you do not get it, then you are part of the problem.
To: IgnorerOfLiberals
I think that is unnecessary. What he does need to do is take a few courses on Christian ethics and morality. A brushing up is due for him.
That’s the way it should be for everybody who hasn’t become unrepentant.

Probably correct. What is it that tempts people into stupidly suicidal actions, unless one is a liberal, then nothing is to weird?

Stupid picture but harmless.I wonder if his wife thinks so. (Hint: that's not her in the picture.)

Good. And if some disagree, tough.

Just having such a yacht is bad enough for all the hard working people providing support.
There is no righteous explanation for a married man to pose for such a picture with a woman that is not his wife.

Thats between Mr. Falwell and Mrs. Falwell
To: Jonty30
He can repent. I pray that he does. He should never be a Pastor, Deacon or whatever of any church again.
To: MinorityRepublican
That was his sister in law who is pregnant, she couldnt zip her pants so he was making fun WITH her the whole thing was very harmless and completely taken out of context BUT he should have known that ANYTHING these bastards can grab onto they will!!
To: fso301
PLEASE read post #31 and the yacht was a family friends yacht!! GEEZE!!
To: SanchoP
I dont get it. Whats the problem? His pants are unzipped and that woman he's got his arm around is not his wife.

His father was.

Given his position, I think that Falwell Jr. has an abysmal sense of propriety. And common sense. And perhaps ignorance of all of the men who have tossed their potential influence for good aside for momentary pleasure. I admired his father and his major influence in bringing the abortion issue to the forefront of the Christian community and the nation as well. Senior had a sense of humor that helped with the serious nature of his mission. I met him once at a conference and he had all of us amused or laughing at intervals. Do not waste your heritage, Jerry Falwell Jr. Leave the young girls alone.

Comporting oneself with dignity is like gun safety. A small amount of consistent effort makes it unconscious. The benefits are obvious. That is a stunningly perfect statement!

And I had read that this young person was preg etc. No excuse and Jerry should not get personal with any young woman. It is a tell that leads to unkind assumptions or worse.
To: Albion Wilde
Thank you Mr. Wilde. From a former Marylander.
