The black Harlem minister at ATLAH ministries raised this same issue about Obama. That as a half African man raised by a white mother, he didn’t have the African American EXPERIENCE.

Obama is not descended from anyone who was a slave in the US, but on his mother's side he had ancestors who were white American slaveowners. Of course many American blacks have some white slaveowners among their ancestors (Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington come to mind).
