Well no wonder AntiFa tore down the statue—Washington is standing next to a fasces! That makes him a fascist! (Ironically, when we were fighting Fascist Italy, there was a fasces on the back of our dime).
Wait till they find out that both Biden and Harris are descendants of slave owners.
The only serious pushback would be if Democrats are wiped out massively in November. Otherwise it will continue. And, God forbid, if Biden wins (shudder) then it will become the norm throughout the this formerly great nation.
If it does, I hope they start with places like Beverly Hills, Malibu, Georgetown, etc.
I was in South Carolina to watch the Solar Eclipse in August of 2017. This was when the anti-statue was just getting some momentum going and it was after the various Confederate Memorials throughout the South. I had dinner with some family friends, adult children of our parents as firm friends & neighbors. Not having spent time with them for years, I had not realized that they were much more LEFT than I was.
When this topic came up and I expressed my disapproval, I was reminded that a lot of the motivation for these memorials came from dark desires against blacks etc. While I, as a guest in the house, pulled in my guns, I still remember closing with the thought that a trend like this generally keeps going and history suffers from it.
It is hard remembering that conversation and wondering if any of our imaginations would reach this level. When restraints of civility are removed and destruction is not punished, is that not an open door to barbarism? That these infants can throw their tantrums and thrown down George Washington’s Statue without facing any penalty is, by definition, an act of a barbarous mob. There is a civilized remedy available, to have a referendum and vote, but the leaders know that is a sure fail.
In short this is a lynching! Sure it is a statue but will it stop there? I can honestly say that I never thought we would get to here but we have and I’m not confident that this genie will go back into the bottle!
LAPD is right down the street, you could walk there in a couple minutes. And LA City Hall is always crawling with dozens of cops and security personnel.
Where were all these cops while all this was going on?
