I received a BS in Geology from Ohio State University in 1989. In the late 80s the big issue was the ozone hole. My fried, a PhD candidate in Geology said, “All you need to do is say your research (even peripherally) includes ozone study, and you’ll be funded to Antarctica” (the main area of concern).

OSU operated the renowed Byrd Polar Research Institute, sending students to their Antarctica site and other polar regions. My female friend camped alone, many miles away from McMurdo sound, studying ice sheet movement, her PhD thesis. Think how coveted a trip like this is for scientists. Now think what the motivations is for everyone to feign global warming or other potential disasters to get expense-free trips to remote sites.

She’s a warmist (and British leftist) but I’d like to ask her, how many tens of thousands of ice cores did all of you look at before you wet your pants and realized you could attribute entrained carbon dioxide to global warming? Entrained CO2 content has been known for many decades, but I bet they realized they could duplicate the ozone scam and never in their wildest dreams did they dream how far it could take their misanthropic agenda.

Applied science has a monetary incentive (when not politicized as petroleum has been recently). Research driven ‘science’ is as honest as the researchers...not much.

The ice sheet that covered most of the North American Continent was about five miles think.

First and foremost. Why is it called Greenland? Get back to me when you figure that one out, and we’ll talk.

Did anyone consult the Grand Poo-bah of Melting Ice, as in ice-fields, glaciers, and superior knowledge of such....and founder of The Climate Reality Project, Al Gore himself....?

You really can’t believe almost anything reported in the MSM these days.

Nearly 40 years of satellite data from Greenland shows that glaciers on the island have shrunk so much that even if global warming were to stop today, the ice sheet would continue shrinking.

This should cheer the Viking farmers.

New Orleans may not be the best example; it’s average elevation is 6 feet below sea level.

I was born & raised in Ohio....and I NEVER say “THE”.

Like most universities, OSU is a cesspool of marxism/communism...and more than a dose of NAZI Socialism.

The ice use to be almost a mile thick over the land which is now New York City.

Someone made the commend last week that since DeBlasio, NYC is not nearly as cool a place as it used to be.

EXCELLLENT!!!

Now there will be more green pastures to support herds and agriculture (like in the past).

Too bad the Vikings suffered so deep a mini-ice Age that their animals, crops and themselves died off in Greenland.
