I do not understand why a 17 year old from Illinois was in Wisconsin defending guarding businesses. Was this a family or friend's business? Was he with family and friends?
In keeping with Minneapolis and ChIraq rioter prosecutions, he needs to be let go.
I’m happy to hear that Rittenhouse is getting some serious legal backing. He’s going to need it.
As I have noted elsewhere, I see Rittenhouse as a patsy as much as anything else. His so-called friends took him to Kenosha. And then they put him in a situation that no untrained 17-year-old should have been in.
One would think the US Attorney is looking at this and considering a Full Blown Investigation into the Deprivation of rights of this Kid that was defending himself.
How Morally depraved you must be to come to any conclusion other than self defense, unbelievable

The whole thing is nuts. There is no way an untrained 17-year-old kid should be in some other state guarding a business against a mob.
Rittenhouse’s friends evidently said “Hey, Kyle. Grab your rifle. We’re going to Kenosha and face off against a mob.”
Well, Rittenhouse’s friends are all home tonight. But Rittenhouse is in jail. And I suspect he will be there for many years. Rittenhouse was played. He is just a patsy. And that will cost him many years of his life.
Why is a 17y/o kid running around a riot scene with a loaded AR 15?
Whose gun is it? Who allowed him to carry it!

Most states (30) allow possession of a long arm with no age limitations. There probably are safety classes that are required though.
If Kyle had taken a hunter safety class he was legal. And hunters cross state lines all the time. He might get tripped up on some sort of “conspiracy to commit crimes” but I doubt it. They would have to show intent that he went there to commit crimes.
The day prior he is photographed cleaning graffiti off a wall in Kenosha. It sounds more like a group that said “We need help in protecting the small shops.”
That happened awhile ago in a small town near mine. A bunch of armed folks found out on Facebook about the protest and stood around outside the shops while the protestors marched down the street.
Which one? Up there they are all corrupt.

I thought parental permission was required for any minor to handle any weapon even for hunting purposes.
I would imagine IL would be much stricter, making it illegal for any minor to posses a firearm.
