Not a big matter to me on a personal level. I’m smart enough not to walk into riots as a target. I also don’t go for pleasant late night strolls in certain neighborhoods, due to the considerably light hue of my skin color.
The point is, when a person goes out of his way to win the Darwin Award, it shouldn’t be any kind of shock or upset when he does take that prize.

Let's try to get the facts straight. Your sentence should have said:
"Attend a parade in support of the re-election of the President of the United States and then walk down the street in a city - what could possibly go wrong"
The answer is simple. You can get murdered by a supporter of communist anarchy who belongs to a group which has the tacit support of the Mayor of Portland and the rest of the local government.
By riot zone you must mean "city run by Democrats". Is it OK if one political group simply bans anyone that doesn't agree with them from visiting an area? If Republicans can't go to Portland, or Oakland, or Kenosha, or Chicago, or Philadelphia, or Washington DC would it be OK if Democrats were banned from other parts of the country?
That isn't how our nation works. Everyone should be able to travel freely, and peacefully express their opinion without being harassed by mobs or shot in the street.
Sounds like you are ok with mob rule. Whoever controls the streets you cower at home. They got the first shot in but next time targets will be prepared for the worst.
If this is the first you’ve heard about Portland being riot-torn (for months on end), I can’t help you, sorry. It’s even been in the papers. Maybe read a little and get informed?
I live outside of Portland jerk. I run around in circles with the guy who was killed. People are furious here that you cannot wear a MAGA hat w/o having a target on you.
But you go into Portland for the riots. Yeah, makes sense. Blow into town, join in the mayhem, get the heck out before the kill you and be back home in time for supper.

You must be ok with those mugged in DC after Trump’s speech since they should have just stayed home. You must be fine with people being beat or shouted at in restaurants since they could have stayed home.

Sorry, have no idea what you’re ranting about there. But if you wanna jump into a riot zone and join the melee, knock yourself out. When individual members of the herd voluntarily thin themselves out it makes it better for the rest.
You are welcome to hide under the bed if you want, but the rest of us aren't so timid. We recognize that going to a city like Washington DC or Portland OR is something every American should be able to do. I suggest you watch the videos of elderly women, men with prosthetic legs, and other people braving the taunts of the mobs in Washington DC. Perhaps you will feel inspired to overcome your fear.
You must have watched a different acceptance speech than I, In the one you watced Trump was trying to fight off rioters as he gave his speech - at least I understand that’s what you believe; more’s the pity.
But you’re most welcome to go across the country to get into street brawls and riot for Trump, in West Okaboo or wherever, if you really think that helps his re-election drive . In the end it doesn’t make much difference if you get hauled off by the meat wagon as long as you enjoyed your fantasy while it lasted.
If there’s anyone foolish enough to depend on you for anything, they’re screwed though. Even if you could afford insurance, it probably wouldn’t pay off in Darwin Award cases. But good luck to you and any such poor individuals anyway!
