Bible in a Year:
I will not forget you!
One morning I told Him about my irrational fear and the sadness it brought (even though He knew it already). The Scripture passage that came from the devotional I read that day was Isaiah 49: Can a mother forget the baby at her breast . . . ? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! (v. 15). God reassured His people through Isaiah that He had not forgotten them and later promised to restore them to Himself through sending His Son Jesus. But the words ministered to my heart too. Its rare for a mother or a father to forget their child, yet its possible. But God? No way. I have engraved you on the palms of my hands, He said.
Gods answer to me could have brought more fear. But the peace He gave because of His own remembrance of me was exactly what I needed. It was the start of discovering that God is even closer than a parent or anyone else, and He knows the way to help us with everythingeven our irrational fears.
What fears do you face? How might you seek Gods help to address them?
Father, my emotions and fears can be overwhelming and controlling. Thank You for being kind by helping me with them.
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
THANK YOU
for your service!
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Howdy, Kathy.
Hump Day. Any chance of catching your breath a bit this evening?
Doug was a Navy man, and professional musician, played bass for Lena Horne's band and Big Bill Broonzy, He was a member of VFW post 4011 and a master carpenter, pool player and ladies man..
RIP Doug, RIP
I’m hoping...still some to do tonight, but as bad as the last couple days.
More rain yesterday, and off and on today. About an inch so far.
Sure hope you are getting rain, too.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Well...we made it through hump day. Hope your week is going well.
I hope you’re able to find some down time this evening. You’re probably whipped by now.
I’ve seen some pretty hefty-looking showers on the airport cam and hoped some were going over your house. One of us needs some good luck. LOL! No rain for us today and probably not tomorrow. Just hot and steamy.

He sounds like quite a guy.
May he rest in peace.
Howdy, PRO.
Any improvement on the air quality today or are the fires still raging?
Doug was also an avid sailor who had a Boston Whaler, and he was an avid golfer, all the girls called him “Dougie Poo”
Truly a great guy, and we are in shock.
I never heard him say anything nasty about anyone but last year he showed up in this Cadillac, and I said where did you get that?
He said my Ex wife gave it to me, maybe she felt bad, I dont know.
The last I spoke to him was 1.5 mos ago? and I asked how that Cadillac suited him, and he said the damn thing caught on fire on a muddy Tx road in the country.
I said oh no!
He said, “you know? I think she set me up” ;)
RIP Doug RIP
The fires are raging all around us, folks are being evacuated and it's choking to even go outside, I hope it improves but the high temps will not make it any better.
Good evening, radu...you were right on The Mayor’s heels tonight.
Sneaking up behind me : )
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...another good day? Maybe a little time with Blue?
How’s Penny enjoying her days? Enough sun for sunning?
It sounds like Doug was quite a character too. Love the tales about the Cadillac. LOL
With the full life he led, he’s left y’all with a lot of fond memories. Celebrate his life.
