I think the average American has much more evidence of concentration camps in China now than they did of German camps in the 30’s and 40’s.

But it is possible we disagree on this.

Yes. We disagree. The Germans saw the arm bands. They saw the shops being closed down. They saw the people being shipped away. It was right there in front of their noses (at least in urban areas and small towns. You had to be hiding under a rock in Germany to not notice it. And if you were a Jew, Gypsy, etc. under that rock was the best place to stay until 1945.

This stuff in China is, to most american, based on rumors we may or may not hear. It’s kinda like the “free tibet” stuff. It’s not local, so it’s not my business. That is, there is injustice all over the world, including my country. I’ll focus on my home country first.

That being said, I don’t want to be financially supporting it. If I strongly believe a particular product is being produced by slave labor, I’ll not purchase it.

Again, most of this stuff wasn’t being reported in the US media. There is a lot of evidence of concentration camps in China being reported in Chinese influenced mainstream US media like:

So much is made by robots now that there is little need for much labor, forced or otherwise, regarding electronics.

Which is why we might as well on shore production. It not going to make any difference and we need the jobs that it does produce and for national security. Supply chains need to be domestic.

Good point. I thought you meant average american today vs average german back then. But that’s not what you said.

Sorry.

Heh. I almost finished my post with that exact point.

I think manufacturing locations nowadays are based more on local taxes and fees than on labor costs. Well, mostly.

There is a reason most call centers and Amazon fulfilment centers are not in tier one areas.
