I keep thinking why is Stonewall Jackson buried in Nevada?

Well, at least they didn’t rename it Trayvon Martin Memorial Cemetary or some such.
Went there a few times as a child.
“The Civil War general, who owned slaves and fought to defend the practice, was buried in the cemetery more than 150 years ago.”
The same could be said of General Grant. He owned a slave.
Further, General Grant took an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution which enshrined slavery.

This article is so full of lies and so disturbing. Read his personal journals. So many things in Virginia are named after General Jackson - and not because of slavery but because of his amazing accomplishments-
Including winning the Mexican war for the US. I am sad. I know many hate all the confederates. You can not judge the past by the present.

I was born in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Lexington, VA. I hear the hospital is no longer there. My dad attended law school at Washinton and Lee University at the time. He’s stopped sending in alumni contributions since they’ve become all politically correct. It’s sad to me with all their history, they choose to erase it. Beyond disturbing that the people are not only allowing it, but actually supporting it.

I respect your post but you and other Southerners have to stop Manning up. You guys showed no fight when any statue was taken down. Not a peep. A lot of talk of guns and the history of fighters in their families on this board but when push came to shove nobody showed up for the fight.

This has got to end somehow. I want these people to suffer a massive embarrassing loss of historic proportions in November - something so historic that all one would need to say to them is 2020 and that will shut them up. Nothing shuts these people up.
