I believe those suffering today, never planned ahead. I feel for those hurting today. I checked out 19 years ago at 45, still have almost 3 yrs to wait for SS but to be honest, I wonder why I did 401, 403 and 457 funds because I don’t need that money either but at 70 will have to start withdrawing. I was blessed to be raised in a large Irish Catholic family, with a great Catholic school education. We were dirt poor but money was always found to send us to Catholic School. My parents were very frugal. Most of us learned that lesson except my eldest sister who married a New England free spender.
