Why did his parents send him to public school? You think they’d know better.
The telephones are still working during all this COVID business. E-mails and Text Messages too. Did it even occur to this teacher that she could have contacted the parent directly, privately and asked about that
‘disturbing display’ in the child’s room?
This only destroys the trust a lot of parents like having with their children’s teachers.

Suspend kid for toy gun but lit rioters looters and arsonists go free. Good to see that the government has its priorities straight. Burning businesses is ok but don’t let your kid play with a toy gun. The Democrat Version of the second amendment reads The right to destroy other people’s property shall not be infringed.

Back in the day 18 year old kids were storming the beaches of Normandy.
Now they get scared to death of a statue and need to find a safe place.
Guess it would have been ok if he’d had a big bong instead.
Sue the teacher; sue the principal; sue the school board.
Aside from the fact the kids in his own home....the teacher slithered out of being named as the snitch to the Principle.
So now home schooling is a “window” into parents homes. I’d be nipping that in the bud real fast!
The kid did not intentionally display the toy.
The kid did not overtly or covertly threaten anyone.
The “gun” was obviously a toy to the teacher.
In what deranged mind did this boy present a threat?
The school administration told KDVR that the district follows all school board policies in both in-person and distance learning.
This boy’s mother needs to get as many of her fellow parents as she can together to attend the next school board meeting and read then the riot act.
This idiotic Zero Tolerance crap has got to end. Boys are being punished for being boys and we are going to end up with generations after generations of neurotic men at the end of this Socialist nightmare.
That looks like a pneumatic stapler.
We need to reopen schools ASAP.
Now New Mexico is doing this: public schools can open at 50% capacity while private schools can at only 25% capacity, because private schools are “more like retail” and “can’t be overseen.”
The United States needs to reopen schools, public and private, at LEAST 50% capacity, immediately.
I would withdraw my son from that school the next day.
When the suspension is over and they allow them to reconnect to the "classroom" the whole family should be there armed to the teeth with a big pro-2nd Amendment backdrop.
BOOM!
That would get the kid expelled

Sure you can withdraw you kid from the school but what about the other boys in that school.
Your son will have to live in the society created by this and all the other schools like it.
