Oh yes, they are RABID!
I have good friend, I’ll call Bidenski. Bidenski is an ORANGE MAN BAD, liberal. She and I talk weekly. Bidenski is ALWAYS the one of us to bring up politics. In the past, I have let her vent her spleen. I agree with SOME of her comments which frequently address the crass behavior of Trump and the Tweets that sometimes sound like a surly 13-yr. old. On that, we agree.
But somehow she got it in her mind that I’ve joined the dark side. So recently she sent an email rant to me about one of her closest friends who has indicated she intends to vote for the orange man, and Bidenski was AGHAST! So I replied that while I find Trump to be pompous (let’s face it - he IS), I will be voting for him AGAIN because I support his policies. My email was met with radio silence for over a week.
Bidenski then called me and was on the verge of tears.
“I read your email and I just CRIED! I could not get my breath! I just cannot beeeeelieve....! EXPLAIN to me WHY you would vote for such a misogynistic, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, asshole! I’ve been so sad and depressed! Don’t you AGREE he’s an a-hole?!”
“Well, yes, I agree he’s an a-hole. I’d hate to have him for a boss. BUT, I’m a life-long CONSERVATIVE (Leaning libertarian) and his policies align with mine, mostly.”
I then pointed her to the Isidewith website. I took the test and mine was 78% Trump!
Sometimes I wish Trump WERE a dictator. I’m living under the covid tyranny of my CA governor still. . .my teens are not yet back in high school, and may not be for the ENTIRE school year.
If Trump were a dictator, he’d open up all the schools, or at least allow parents the option to choose in person schooling. Californians are not even allowed the option, unlike all other states I think except Hawaii.
In some ways I won’t even care if Biden wins; I’ve been living under CA tyranny and am used to living under Dem rule and its associated ills. My life will be no different. We are in lockdown indefinitely.
Who my governor is seems to matter more than who my president is (for me and my family, not for the nation per se).
I have removed myself from a couple of social circles where I was the ‘lone republican’.
Was accused of being narrow minded for not embracing all forms of degeneracy with enough enthusiasm.
I don’t miss pro football either...
