Media gleefully claiming 1,000,000 COVID deaths today (its now much more serious because it’s a nice round number).
How convenient this “news story” breaks the day of the debate.
The “mostly unbiased” moderator now has his first question:
“President Trump, now that the virus has killed 1,000,000 people, what do you think you should have done differently to prevent these deaths and how would you explain your failure to stop the virus to the families of these 1,000,000 people?”
Question number 2:
“Vice President Biden: In light of the fact that as you’ve stated, your plan would have prevented all 1,000,000 coronavirus deaths caused by Trump, I really like your tie. Where did you get it?”

At least these 2 were Biden’s. But then why would the Iraq war come up? Better would be the appeasement of Iran and NK by paying them off.
He opposed the Iraq War from its earliest days.
He and Obama “rescued the auto industry.”

WJR AM 760 (Detroit talk) just had a hack on saying Trump is not prepared for a debate, hasn’t been practicing, Joe debated recently in the primaries, so Trump is at a disadvantage.

PDJT has been debating at every WH presser, with multiple hostile opponents.
Joe would wither and run if questioned by true right-wing questioners, unscripted. Heck, he’s already been removed from unscripted questioning at recent events.

I am glad you feel this confident. I do not. Debating the press is different than an actual debate against a seasoned debater who did well against Sanders. I am glad Trump did the ABC town hall though some of his answers were not the best.

I guess we’ll see tonight how the lack of traditional debate prep (like, working with someone playing your opponent to practice responses) goes for POTUS.
I’ll admit to being pretty concerned that he apparently hasn’t done this. You can’t “wing” something with 80, 90 million viewers, many of who are going to vote or not vote for your 2nd term.
Bad idea by POTUS, IMHO. Sparring with the press daily is not debate prep. Will it work? Tonight will tell.

I think most actual voters are set like concrete and debates won’t change minds.
I think many blacks (because woke to “the plantation”, jobs & illegal immigrants) and very many white women (because of social violence and insecurity) will flip to Trump this time, and far outweigh any flips from debates.
No matter what else goes on ... it’s certain Biden is gonna have an armful of SOMETHIN!

Wallace: “President Trump, how often to you beat your wife?”
