Stupid rules are for scared sh!tless people who deserve to live their lives in irrational fear.Let me guess. You're just the person to tell the rest of us whether the precautions we want to take are rational or not.
Thanks for the freedom.

They're getting in between citizens and the freedoms of a free country which our Bill of rights and Constitution gave us...bec ause their authority has gone to their heads..Too bad there isn't a community based school board or something to ensure that the superintendent is accountable to the parents.

Not at all. For the myriad reasons and arguments I have presented and, on occasion, have successfully defended since this debacle began seven long months ago my opinion of mask wearers as ignorant fools unworthy of even a modicum of respect for their active participation in the incredible damage that has been done to our American society and to the mental and physical heath of American “men”, women and, especially, to innocent American children is rock solid.

For the myriad reasons and arguments I have presented and, on occasion, have successfully defended ...Oh. Sorry.
I didnt realize you had myriad arguments.
In that case, please tell us all what to think.
And please dont worry about how many good kids and parents evenings you ruin when educating us.

It's developing slowly, but after seven months of mental lethargy and paralyzing fear parents are beginning to sense the harm that has been done to their children and that they have been complicit in it. For seven months -- a long, long time from a child's perspective -- and with no end in sight, our children have been denied their childhood. Isolated for extended periods from their friends and playmates, watching their parents -- especially young boys watching their dads cower in fear of germs -- of life itself -- obeying without question every new command, each new restriction of some stranger ... some politician or unelected bureaucrat ... even as their family's business is destroyed or as their mom or dad, forced out of work, struggle to make ends meet and keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Denied the opportunity to go to school or Sunday School or to an amusement park or even a playground or to play ball with their friends ... and for what?! Because their parents are scared nearly out of their minds because some politician or some "expert" told them to be scared ... told them they must be frightened even after more than half a year.
For some time, even though I know in my 54th year as an environmental health and safety professional in heavy industry and big agriculture that the way nearly everyone improperly selects, fit tests/applies, wears and maintains a mask renders it effectively useless against a virus, I tempered my opposition to mask-wearing because it does serve a useful purpose: It gives frightened people a sense of security and the courage to venture out of their homes and be around other people. In so doing and because the mask does little to nothing to prevent transmission of a tiny virus, the mask wearers help spread the virus thus contributing to the development of natural immunities.
However, widespread mask wearing has a significant negative effect on individuals and on our society as a whole. Ubiquitous mask wearing makes our society look sick even while most of us are not. Mask wearing serves as a constant, unavoidable reminder -- at least according to the politicians, unelected bureaucrats and, of course, "The Experts" that we're all just one sneeze or one cough away from certain death.
My point is that we cannot go on living like this ... conducting our business like this ... raising our kids like this. Our children deserve to be educated, confident, productive American citizens, full of optimism and hope for America's future ... and it's our duty -- our moral responsibility -- to provide this future to them.
Sooner or later we must take a deep breath, muster up some long-dormant courage and crawl out of this national funk. Until we do, the damage to each of us and to our society will continue and we can no longer allow that to happen ... regardless of what the politicians and "the experts" command.
Is there a risk? You bet there is ... but risk is a factor no matter which path we take. Regards, GA

Wait, they canceled the game because one spectator (who wasn’t even in the stands, was outside on the fenceline) wasn’t wearing a crappy useless mask?
How many players weren’t wearing their masks? How many members of the band had all theirs on? How many cheerleaders kept theirs on the whole time? All the coaches? Support staff? Announcers? The rest of the fans? Even the other kids/toddlers attending? EVERY SINGLE OTHER PERSON had a mask on THE WHOLE TIME, but since the dude at the fence didn’t have one, they canceled the game?
Right... Don’t forget, unicorns shit rainbows, and giraffes pee Skittles!
To: semimojo
Yeah, I'm sure all the other kids and parents appreciated his brave defiance.
Yup, all those other parents and kids who, I am 100% sure (sarcastically speaking), were wearing their mostly useless masks the entire time, no exceptions whatsoever.

...were wearing their mostly useless masks the entire time, no exceptions whatsoever.Yeah, I suspect many weren't wearing them optimally.
Is that justification for ruining the event for all the students and their parents?
Or was Ammon just being a needy attention whore?

I guarantee many of them, especially players/cheerleaders/band were not wearing them at all, AND constantly in close contact. And yet Bundy gets the blame for the game being canceled? I don't think so. There's no way he's legitimately responsible for canceling that game, unless there's either A) more to the story, or B) every single person there actually was completely wearing masks, and he really was "punished" for being the only one not wearing one.
How is not wearing a mask being a "needy attention whore"? Sounds like he just watched from the fence when they refused to let him enter and watch his kid. Was he standing there yelling and screaming about not being let in? Did he call the local TV channel to come out for the situation? Or was he just standing at the fence, not really bothering anybody?
I don't wear a mask anywhere I go, unless they verbally require it but I don't wear it close to properly (I have a beard anyway). Does that make me an attention whore? Really, I'd just prefer if those few places quite bothering me and let me go about my business.

Sounds like he just watched from the fence when they refused to let him enter and watch his kid. Read the article more carefully. He demanded entry, the cops were called and they decided not to stop him. He entered and the school told him if he wouldnt follow the rules they would cancel the game.
Not caring at all about the other kids or parents he refused to leave and the game was canceled.
Im sure he feels righteous.

Did YOU even read the article? He did not enter the area, he stayed outside the fence.
Undeterred by the police and the administration, Bundy proceeded to watch the game from outside the football field fence.
...
Others thought that Caldwell school administrators were heavy-handed in canceling the games since Bundy was outside the fence and not near anyone he could potentially infect if he was a viral carrier. Some defended Bundy for standing up against tyranny.
...
High School football games do not normally get canceled because some parent standing outside the football field fence refuses to wear a face mask.
And then we skip the majority of the article that does nothing but accuse Bundy of being a domestic terrorist.. There's this little gem at the very end of the article:
The high school football game was not canceled because of Ammon Bundys anti-mask protest. It was canceled because one or more calls were made threatening violence over the enforcement of the mask requirement on school property. The Canyon County dispatch confirmed the calls.

Bundy proceeded to watch the game from outside the football field fence....Which was still school property.
"When told about the Caldwell School District policy requiring all visitors to wear a mask on school property, Bundy refused to wear one or leave the property."

Nice. It wasn't his protest, it was the threats from his knucklehead buddies that he was livestreaming to and trying to get spun up.
"Some angry parents confronted Bundy as they left the stadium. He was asked if the game stoppage involved him, and he said he thought it did. I will not put on a mask! I have a right not to put on a mask! he yelled back at the parents and fans. You guys should be brave enough to do the same thing.
What a child.

School property yes, but not inside the stadium/field/stands for the football game. He was by himself outside the fence. Definitely more than the six feet “social distance” from everyone else.
And it may have been his buddies, it may not have been. The article doesn’t say, although again, I find it unlikely that a football game would be canceled over a couple phone calls. Especially when it’s already half over. I think the Caldwell leadership was looking for an excuse to make a big deal over the mask diktat.
