This highly educated city dweller in Ohio from the boonies in Central Pennsylvania submitted his ballot for Trump and fellow Republicans today. Wonder how this fits me into their stats?

I also know strong union Democrats in Pennsylvania voting for Trump too!

The dynamic in 2016 was something like this.

Trump had made good promises, but folks looked at his past
life and couldn’t get beyond that. They just doubted he
would be as good as he promised.

Some took a pass on voting. Others voted reluctantly for
Trump.

This time around, those on the fight have had a chance to
see for themselves that he meant what he said when he
promised things in 2016.

This time around there is no doubt what he’s going to govern
like. Many democRats are going to cross lines this time.

I think it’s going to be shocking how may more votes Trump
gets this year than he did in 2016.

Nobody is staying home this year. If you’ve got a pulse
and are a Conservative, you’re just dying to go vote.
Even if you’re not a die-hard Conservative, what is the
alternative to Trump this year?

Unless you want this nation destroyed, you have one choice.

I think more people than anyone thinks, have seen that choice
and can’t wait to express it with their vote.

I agree with your take.

I do however have a very hard time grasping how tweets seem
worse to someone than anarchy.

Bad tweets, anarchy, bad tweets, anarchy, gosh such a hard
choice.

I see people say Trump is a liar, and yet the fact is the
Left tried to pull a coup, and you can’t do that without
the ultimate in lying. How do people rationalize Trump
is worse?

It’s truly mind-boggling the level of inability to evaluate
threats.

Our government could have easily had it’s leader toppled.
Trump’s brashness is essentially all that prevented it.

Now he’s the bad guy. Those who tried to pull off the coup,
why they must be the heroes to the women like the one in
this article.

I can’t understand these people’s thinking.

This highly educated small city dweller was always conservative - I was the token conservative in the political science club in college - and will be voting for Trump again this time. Have to wait until election day, here.

We are not broken glass Republicans, we are molten lava Republicans. Broken glass? Pfffttt. We will wade through molten lava to vote this year. Supposedly my state leans blue. We’ll see about that.

Critical thinking puts man in such a tight psychic cage that he he will agree that 2 + 2 does not equal 4,in fact, he will insist that 2+2 equals anything except 4!

Interesting. Well as a very well educated, white female, Trump has had my vote in 2016 and now 2020 EASILY. Not even a contest.

The rats lost me way back going into Clinton's second term. And they only had me before that after Bush 1. So not long.

I was crying at 10 years old when Reagan lost the primary to Ford. ;D. But we all know how that ended down the road.

I remember Trump's story of when he spoke to Reagan and Reagan asked him if he'd ever be interested in running for President.

What a moment that would have been to go back to in time and be a fly on the wall.

You forgot the 24-7 world wide media, academia, political, and social blitzkrieg of disinformation and personal attacks against Trump for the past 4 and a half years. The peer pressure to vote against Trump in some social circles of this country is enormous.

…..Changing demographics...….

And then the article mentions Whites and Non-Whites about 20 times.

Remember that when the Democrats and the media tell you that all discussion about race and illegal immigration is "racist." They sure watch the numbers closely when it affects their hold on power.

It's revealing that critical theory leeches out from academia and affects media and our culture with the power of the blitzkrieg, as you suggest.

I think the problem does originate in the academic world where the insidious nature of this postmodern ideology is so invasive that they literally argue whether 2+2 = 4.

The pressure against admitting that one supports Trump arises out of the perfectly hermetically sealed nature of the philosophy. Just as radical Islam is perfectly secure from any assault of logic, so too does any heresy from critical theory mean that renegades are just that, heretics and are to be treated as such.

We keep looking for a rational explanation why postmodern leftists repeatedly choose irrational policies but that is like asking reason or willpower to cope with diarrhea.

I have a rational explanation as to why they do it, it’s to destroy the notion of personal freedom and responsibility as the founders saw it. If they destroy that notion that leaves them as the sole arbiters of right and wrong and in their warped view of a societal structure they become the rulers. As students of history and human nature though we know ultimately where that leads, to the gulag or the wall before the firing squad.

After trying to wade through this War and Peace article of Leftist BS for quite a while, I lost interest.

What I gleaned first though was their insistence that Democrats own the votes of College educated Whites. Ummmm, no they don’t. Trump won White college grads last time. Trump also won White women.

Now, it’s true that he didn’t win White single women. Republicans never do. They are one of the Donkeys most hardcore constituencies. White married women however tend to be far more Republican.

Indeed it does, and as you properly point out history leaves us in no doubt. But their philosophy, this postmodernism, this offshoot from The Frankfurt School, also leaves them in no doubt that the gulag and the firing squad are tolerable.

I think we have to dig below the issue of the day beyond for example their dismissal of our founding and understand the perverse but impervious, hermetic new world that is created for those exposed to it. Last year at this time I read materials assigned to my granddaughter as a junior at Virginia Tech and they were nothing but Gramsci. When I told her who Gramsci was, she was incredulous and thought I was an obsessed old fellow who should be tolerated and treated politely out of consideration for his age.

This has now gotten down to the level of kindergarten.

Exactly. Like a doctor: “Grumpy bedside manner. Certain death. Grumpy bedside manner. Certain death.”

Hell, they threw everything they had at him the last 4 years (Mueller, shampeachment, deep state scum in the administration trying to sabotage him) and he STILL got a ton of things done. They’re truly terrified of how much more he can accomplish in the next 4 years.....the last 4 have mostly been about obliterating everything Obama did.
