Have to define “late”...if the ballots were in a mail drop box by 11:59pm yesterday (Tues.) then they are “legal” ballots. (USPS also does this for “late” tax returns...if inside a P.O. facility or drop box by 11:59pm then USPS postmarks them “April 15” even if it is the wee hours of April 16).
If Michigan is anything like CA election rules were changed (by Newsom by fiat) due to the COVID. All ballots were mailed out and can be returned at the last minute and still be “legal”.
