The viruses is an inert (dead) particle. It is not going anywhere. It will be around effectively forever. The risk of contracting it will always be there just like other viruses and germs and bacteria.
Since when did these risks have to be zero before people can get back to their normal lives?
Even if people were to contract this virus, they may or may not get sick or show symptoms. And if they did, they have a 99.8% chance of surviving. Very minuscule risk to people.

Virginia started having the health department ‘enforce’ them so I haven’t heard ANY comments (directed at me) about no mask.
I do have a respiratory condition not related to colds etc but I really don’t think I would comply anyway.
Guess I will eventually need a ‘Doctors slip’ but I see no sense in giving a Dr a couple of thousand bucks to tell me I have a respiratory problem.
