This is a case of the defense secretaries injecting the military into the debate over the corrupt 2020 election results rather than the other way around.
The one real advantage to using the military, is to run a prison. They don’t have to actually arrest anyone, just hold them in military prisons like Gitmo. Since POTUS is the Commander-in-Chief of the military, enforcement of court orders like habeas corpus petitions is legally dubious.
