Oh! So now he's pissed. He will never be President and will always be remembered for his role in helping the fascists steal the election.

Everybody has faults. We are all human.

Just saying that Pence missed the precedent that Jefferson set which benefited himself.

Obviously, Pence is not presidential stock.

Pence is done in politics.

I wonder if he'd even win the GOP primary in INDIANA in 2024.

That you got right, but it seems he didn’t admit how bad until today.

I recall an episode of The Vortex (the Church Militant show) that castigated Pence for abandoning Catholicism for Evangelical Christianity; but it looks like he abandoned Christianity altogether. (And he was a Democrat until 1983 too; now the passage about leopards changing their spots comes to mind.)

That was the election of 1800. The 12th Amendment was ratified in 1803-04 specifically to prevent that from happening again.

Politicians are known for their lies and kabuki theater. The fact that a senator said it means nothing.

While I’m sure that Mike Pence is mad, he brought it all upon himself. Did he really think that MAGA voters would be happy with what he did yesterday?

"Mike Pence chose to uphold the Constitution."

My Constitutional right to have my vote count was stolen from me in this election. Although Pence was not the primary one, or only one who could have done something about it and didn't, he was the last one.

Time to retire gracefully, Mike.

You could be right. Jeff Keebler Elf’ Sessions could not win over Tuberville as an example. Trumpers have long memories.

Inhofe is just another RHINO who has been in the Senate too long, just like Cornyn from Texas. They are McConnell “good ole boys” and they didn’t like Trump upsetting their go along to get along philosophy. The Republican party is dead.

I never liked his fake concern expression. He is an actor and professional RINO - he feels most comfortable with Paul Ryan, John McCain and Mitch McConnell

Mike Pence chose to uphold the Constitution. Well done.

Nope. Counting electors sent from a governor, whilst the state's legislators are telling him to wait, is NOT upholding the Constitution.

Thomas Jefferson accepted 7 spoiled ballots from Georgia that gave him and Burr a runoff spot. One state, 7 ballots. Does not even come close to what people absurdly expected Pence to do. Trump should have just left all this alone, played the martyr, declared Biden an illegitimate president and wreaked havoc for 3 years until 2024. Instead by taking it to and past the red line Trump has never been weaker and has almost no bully pulpit to exploit at all.

Don’t blame him entirely. He has stood by the President. I wish for a better outcome but Pense had no power to stop what was happening in Congress.

Be that as it may, a president will find a way to fight.

Pence is a caretaker ... not a president.

I will not vote for him for anything.

All Pence had to do was table certain Electors votes until their state legislatures had a little more time to weigh in which they had urgently requested and for which they were duly authorized under Art. II of the Constitution to do.

Pence wasn’t asked to overturn the Election, he was asked to just grant a little more time to state legislatures that had written him with urgent concerns.

After what Pence did to General Flynn, after blocking Congressman Louis Gohmert’s lawsuit that would have helped him, and after learning Pence’s staff are Never-Trumpers, many say he’s a traitor. I am beginning to see things that way.

Completely fake. Trump didn’t call for anything. If he did, there would be 10s of thousands. Might do you all well to remember that. Trump holds the people back, he’s not trying to start something.

None at all. Republican voters will never forgive him and Democrat voters will never accept him. He did that to himself. If had fought as hard as the President it would be a different story. He lost whatever balls he may have had.
