There isn’t a Republican who didn’t condemn what happened Wednesday. There isn’t a Democrat who has condemned the months of riots from BLM-ANTIFA. One side is consistent, and the other is a bunch of hypocrites.
Until the Republicans realize that playing with an out-of-date rule book is counterproductive, Republicans will continue to lose.
As for myself, I guess I am no longer a Republican. With the exception of Ashli’s death, I think the protest at the Capital is exactly what this country needs. The politicians and deep state enemy needs, in AOC’s words, to be “uncomfortable”.

You also can’t find common ground with people motivated by dramatically different ideologies. We believe in the Constitution and freedom. They believe in iron-fisted, top-down power from the government with no interference from the rest of us.

on the other hand, a strong case could be made that the Capitol police were doing -exactly- what had been demanded of them by the DC mayor and Congressional politicians over the past year, and especially after the June 1 riots in DC.
Don’t engage and don’t engage with force. Let St. John’s burn, let the Lincoln memorial, the WW2 memorial and Washington memorial be defaced, let them bring down statues, let them burn the White House.

Let’s be clear it’s mostly the democrat leaders that fit this description . Normal on the street dems just have a different opinion then us. I have friends who are dems and we don’t hate each other and can debate the topics without getting mad. Framing all dems as evil is just wrong.
Although I’m a deplorable Trump Supporter and think he was the first president I’ve seen actually keep his promises I can see how his communication style turned some off. Because what he was doing was working he was pulling a lot of dems and revitalizing the Republican Party, it’s scared all our so called leaders.
At this point the swamp is winning and I’m increasingly convinced we’re the RINO’s. Sad times yes but always remember there are 74mil of us at least.

Republicans that tolerate rigged elections and made a bigger deal out of what happened on Wednesday than about weeks and weeks of much worse violence in the George Floyd riots aren’t much better.
