Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t the former CEO of AIG, John Corzine abscond with over a billion in company shareholder funds? Whatever happened to that guy?

You are wrong. Jon Corzine never worked for AIG. He worked for Goldman Sachs prior to his govt career and MF Global afterwards.

Property, casualty, auto and health policies are typically annual contracts and the company can non-renew. Some are cancellable depending on the contract language. Life and annuity contracts can’t be cancelled by the company.
