These were peaceful protestors and certainly not Trump-supporters, so the Mayor had nothing to fear. It is thus logically impossible for him to be "escorted to safety."

#6. Re what do you mean by “We’ll be getting this across the nations cities in no time”? THAT TIME HAS LONG BEEN HERE. Even in DC there are several homeless encampments including one that was right next to the Dept. of Justice’s new building on M Street. It was pretty clean though compared to others but I think DC closed it down because of the bad press it was giving DC’s incompetent and corrupt Mayor and City Council.
You will notice that in DC, there are NO encampments near the homes of the political/rich elite in NW DC. I would have thought that Obama’s mansion would have space for scores of the homeless but NOOOO, it is only for his family and Valerie Garrett’s family. No “deplorables, druggies, homeless, medically ill or mentally ill people need apply for an asylum type homestead”.
