Since the very term “deprogram” is connected by a short rope to Stalinesque lingo, Trump supporters are not the ones in need of deprogramming.
This seems to be a new (and scary) change in how the Democrats practice politics in America. Rand Paul has actually been clear about this sort of danger.
Although we have a two-party system, in which each party seeks differing political solutions, we are now hearing this:
If the former Republican President's view of election integrity differs from the Democrat view, then the former Republican President should be put on trial and (they hope) banned from holding any office in the future.
If millions of citizens support the former Republican President and indicate that they would vote for him again, the Democrats will call for them to be "deprogrammed" so that they will engage in right-think.
Republican politicians who act like Republican politicians, and who do not toe the Democrat party line, should also be impeached and driven from office. Calls for violence against such individuals are not punished because, after all, they are expressing political views which Democrats find distasteful.
This is Stalinist.
