Sorry I was unclear. I was making no attempt to express my personal views (for the record: they should be in jail or shot).
I was attempting to express what I perceived as a nation mood or at least the view expressed by the complicit media. To wit: putting famous US politicians in jail would be unthinkable because — despite their obvious crimes — it would seem too much like punishing Clinton or Obama simply for being on the other side of the political fence. Such pettiness, the view seemed to say, was unbecoming in a free and tolerant America.
Of course, now that Trump is the topic, the accepted view in the media seems to that the SOB just needs to be hounded and punished forever with either his guilt or non-guilt having nothing to do with anything — just “get that guy” because, you know, his politics suck.
