One way they can remove a lot of fossil fuel use from the reach of poor and middle class Americans is more taxes and fees on use. We should not assume our “leaders” in DC won’t screw up the country even more.

Totally driven by government regs...not real “supply and demand” economics. Therefore bullshit. Don’t think I will rely on Morgan-Stanley recommendations is this is the quality thereof.

The quality, range, and speed of charging electric vehicles have improved to where they are now a viable source of everyday transportation.

Currently, the electric generation and grid could not handle a substantial increase in electric vehicles......

This means more natural gas, coal, and nuclear-powered plants need to come online very soon to meet expected demand.

Coal plants emissions are almost down to nothing with the new scrubbing procedures, gas plants emit little, and nuclear, well it’s nuclear.....

Reducing the number of gas vehicles and increasing the number of electric must be met with a substantially increased electric distribution and generation infrastructure to be viable.

Electric vehicles will be the future of transportation but gas vehicles will be here way into the 2050s.....

They have pronounced the gas industry dead more times than they wrote off Sylvester Stallone’s career.

Currently the electric utilities do not have the infrastructure to support this transition. They may be able to ramp up power plants but the local distribution channels are a huge problem which nobody seems to be addressing.

When is electric going to start paying for the roads? Fuel taxes are a huge part of ICE operating cost and they pay for roads. Electrics are getting a free ride and tax subsidies. That can’t continue.

So were going to cap/stop the natural gas production - doubtful.

Morgan Stanley? The first question you should ask yourself when hearing anything from a Wall Street analyst is what is their real motive. Do your own research. Do your own analysis. Big Banks are just out to manipulate gullible old ladies. Yes, you too can be a gullible old lady if you don’t think for yourself. Think for yourself. Don’t get saggy breasts and change your pronoun.

Saw a video from Scotty Kilmer. Within the 10 minute video he made great observations.

Electric cars run on high voltage. Extreme care and training is required to work on an electric cars so one does not kill himself.

Electric fires are not the same as fuel fires. Firefighters use different techniques to extinguish and electrical fire.
Electrical fires can start due to a short in the battery. When an electrical car is in an accident, or in a chain reaction multi vehicle car accident, the electric cars can spontaneously ignite and burn.

That potential to ignite and burn can happen at any time from the time of the crash, to the tow of the EV to the shop, to storage of the wrecked car.

Just another feature of electrical cars for which no one has developed a solution

Sunday, I started a list of items that are made by/with or are connected to the fossil fuel industry.

Am now on page 12.

The syringes used for all the Covid vaccinations are plastic-—how many is that???

It's a situation eerily reminiscent of the thousands of buggy and whip companies that were rendered obsolete in the early 20th century.

There's a slight difference.

Buggies and whips were supplanted by superior technology that actually functioned as advertised.

So far, what I see is supposed to replace fossil fuel powered vehicles are EVs. EVs have a shorter range, take a long time to charge, and are dependent on electricity generation and access to electricity, all properties which make them not very convenient. Oh, and since electricity generation is being scaled back, those EVs will end up sitting around unused at some point in the near future (if Biden and the other dictocrats have their way). We are really going to cover our country with windmills and solar panels to try to replace coal and natural gas plants? What about wildlife and the environment?

From article.

GM supported the Trump administration's pro-carbon lawsuit that was meant to force California and several other states with gas-mileage standards to lower them to the national standards. GM, however, flipped after Trump lost in November and withdrew from the suit on Nov. 23 after Biden became the clear winner. Since then, GM has announced a raft of electrification plans, which has helped GM stock rally 35% in the year-to-date.

Tells you all you need to know.
