Met several of the NR crew back around 2004. My immediate assessment of them was that they were smug little pricks. And boy was I right.

Honestly this board is the only place I see the NR. it’s that irrelevant.

When I left the 'rat party and became a republican in 1994, one of the first things I did was take out a subscription to National Review. It's cover to cover asswipe now.

National Review is dead to me and has been since March 2016. And isn’t Bill Kristol a Lincoln Project guy?

NR is now ND, the National Disgrace. Just another house organ for the Dems and Deep State. Y’know, the Mob, the Mafia , the Black Hand, the Swamp, Orthanc.

NR is as dead as McConnell’s political future. We need to build a new party, and a new America. Dispose of the dead wood, and let’s get to work!

I think National Review will soon follow The Weekly Standard into the dustbin of history.

So what can he do?

Trump will become a king maker.

Working behind the scenes he will promote conservative candidates and work to primary rinos.

NRO Editors, those of you who haven’t already, just go join The Lincoln Project, where you belong.

The last bastion of conservatives has fallen. Look at those names and where most of them are now. Some have recanted, some have kept digging. What a joke.

The NR brings nothing to the intellectual table. Absolutely nothing.

Acquittal IS vindication! I’d say NR is a bunch of ass-hats, but that’d be unfair to ass-hats.

It’s cute that the National Review thinks anyone of any political persuasion cares about their opinions.

National Review is kinda like the Lincoln Project.
They will be thrown on the scrapheap of history.

It continues to amaze me that folks like National Review, the Lincoln Project, McConnell, Sasse, Romney, etc. honestly believe that what they are doing has any chance of resurrecting the Republican Party. It’s only through their myopic arrogance that they can’t see that their actions are utterly destroying what’s left of the institution.

There is such a surprise awaiting them in 2022 and 2024. They cannot see the whirlwind beyond the trees...

Oddly, some people think it strange that the defense, when asked what Trump was doing, didn’t answer, since no evidence was presented to suggest he was doing something wrong, and it wasn’t part of the impeachment article.

This was a big mistake, if you believe the democrats wanted to convict Trump, which they didn’t. They wanted a charge that applied to the house and senate republicans as well, so they could take “yes” votes and use them to censure republicans.

Mostly they did this to get to use taxpayer money to create the video they will use for campaign ads in 2022.
