Why would Texas have prepared for record cold and snow if they listened to the media and other global warming fanatics the last forty years?

No.
But they WOULD have been prepared if they’d have listened to Joe Bastardi.
He was tweeting about the storm and the dangers it posed to the electrical grid a week before it hit.

Man made global warming is like saying an ant walking on back porch will make your house tilt backwards.
Here is our beautiful, powerful, million times bigger than earth, hot enough to melt anything on earth in a micro-second Sun:
Here is earth in size comparison-----> .

Thanks for posting the probable best question of this decade:
Since 1980 Americans have heard that the Earth was warming rapidly, that the South would not have winters anymore and we would see “the end of snow.”
We were told it is the “scientific consensus” and the science was “settled.”
So why the heck would politicians prepare for something when they were told by "experts" that it would never happen?

In the mid 70’s global COOLING was the mantra. How human activity was quickly ushering in a new permanent ice age. Especially the winter of 1977 when snow was on the ground as far south as Tampa. Since then we’ve had some scorching hot summers and it became global warming. Bottom line, at any given time there’s some place where it’s colder/hotter/drier/rainier, snowier than “average”. Climate is real, but it’s G-D MADE climate change.

Climate change/global warming does not mean the end of super cold winters.
This years polar wortex was cuased by unusually warm temps in the artic.
Any farmer who has been turning soil more than 30 years can tell you the climate is rapidly changing.
The last 10 years we have been getting 3 cuttings on our hay fields. That is insane.
We were cutting hay last year into October due to above normal temps

Here’s my analysis... mankind’s activities have zero affects on the sun, moon, global and cyclical wind patterns, global rotational wobbles on its axis and sometimes rare extremes of seasonal weather changes based on geographic locations. Bottom line is be prepared best as possible for these rare extremes and adapt accordingly. The leftist climate czars and their exorbitant save the globe taxation’s are nothing but expensive and tyrannical worthless pisses into the wind. Mother Nature is way more powerful and far beyond puny humanity’s measures to control her.

Sunspots are far more responsible for weather events on Earth, than fossil fuels and cow flatulence.
So, the socialists can throw trillions of dollars toward perceived man-made climate change, and their efforts can be completely undone by a single, unpredictable solar event.
The sun is 1300 times larger than planet Earth.

That is true. But none of it is caused by humans. NONE OF IT!!!
BTW, this present climate we have is very usual per the climate cycles the planet goes through. It swings from warm to cold constantly and the climate cycles we are now in last but a short time between those cycles.

No intelligent person ever claims that climate does not change.
Climate has been changing since earth was born 5 Billion years ago. During the last 5 billion years there have been vastly different climates periods on earth.
Man is too puny compared to earth to cause climate change. Astronauts circling earth can’t see any man made objects.
And earth is too puny compared to the Sun which is million times bigger and million times hotter, and has it’s own cycles between more hot and less hot.
