Trump decried Pence for refusing to attempt to overturn the election, which is not something the vice president has unilateral authority to do. The president and his allies have been urging Pence to reject the 2020 results in Congress. As vice president, Pence presides over the final step in certifying the outcome of the election. But Pence’s role in the certification of the Electoral College vote, per the Constitution, is largely meant to be ceremonial.
“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!” Trump said.

Defying his boss, Vice President Mike Pence said Wednesday that only lawmakers can decide whether to accept or reject the Electoral College votes won by President-elect Joe Biden.
Pence’s decision to abide by the rules as he presides over Congress’ formal acceptance of the votes was a rare deviance from the staunch loyalty he’s shown President Donald Trump over the past four years.
And it earned him a quick rebuke.

An honorable man would say that.
To quote President Trump, “Let’s see what happens.”
I’m rooting against Pence. I believe he’s a backstabber.

I think she is 30 or 31 now, would just squeak in at the right age in the next Presidential election.
For all the complaints people have about Pence, he served a very important purpose in 2016 by garnering support among evangelical Christians for a presidential candidate who they never would have even considered supporting even just a few months earlier in the campaign.
Hard to imagine our founding fathers saying, "and now let's add some ceremonial stuff right here."

The choice for the VP spot is not how they can help you, but only how they won’t HURT you.
Pence would definitely HURT Trump in an upcoming election.
Choosing Pence again would hurt Trump BIGLY! I hope he doesn’t choose him.
I’m amazed at the 2022/2024 crowd. The Dems stole both 2018 and 2020 but all will be well. Just “vote, vote vote.”

Gov. DeSantis is likely a shoe in for Veep when Trump runs in 2004. Governors make the best presidents and he would continue Trumps policies, etc. following another Trump presidency. DeSantis stature continues to zoom upward and that’s not likely to change.
The only downside is that we sure do need him here in Florida! But a successor could be groomed in the likeness of Trump/DeSantis.
