No one is stopping anyone from investing in hotels and apartments, nor have I noted any racism or cheating among Indian Americans. The only cheating I see is in Corp America. I don’t know why you think they’ve taken over finance/accounting because it simply isn’t true - it’s absolutely dominated by whites and what Asians are in those jobs tend to be Chinese, Japanese and Korean. I am a senior finance exec that even travels around the US and elsewhere - finance is overwhelmingly white. You do realize white college degreed unemployment rate is like 3%, right?

You sure know absolutely NOTHING about H1B and Indian racism.

Many many Freepers and others like Trump, USTechWorkers, ProgrammersGuild, NumbersUSA, FAIR and, many States Attorney Generals, and the Trump DOJ and others will agree with me

Another one that loves the Cheap Indian Labor Express has been outed.

Try getting a job - any job - in IT/ software engineering. 99.9% of all recruiters are Indian scumbags calling in and emailing from call centers in India. And they most assuredly hire only other Indians

First of all, I said finance and accounting, not IT/programming. Perhaps you have reading comprehension issues. Second, I am very much of in favor of significant reforms or even elimination of H1B program, so nice try with the strawman.

Oh, Indian H1B scumbags are definitely moving into finance/accounting as well, in addition to the medical and insurance sectors.

My experience (as a dreaded White Man) is that I am rapidly hired; I am seldom on the market long.

I've never been hired by going through an Indian recruiter, so you might be right about Indians only hiring Indians... I just don't know for sure. There was one occasion when I was working with an American-located but Indian-originated firm, and I did detect some odd behavior from them. I was eminently qualified but somehow never seemed to start the interview process with them.

Still, I don't last long enough on the market for this to be an issue. My skills are quite sharp and relevant to today's IT environment.

One thing I don’t understand is how people of color or women are not offended...

IMHO United is saying those 2 groups cannot compete unless playing field is leveled or tilted in their favor?!

When I started applying overseas in places like Singapore, Europe and the UK, I was hired almost immediately after a 30-minute interview. Unlike to bullshit Indian gauntlet of 5 or 6 rounds of interviews. Any recruiter with an I Indian name rejects you once you declare American citizenship.

The behavior you seen from ‘American located’ but Indian-run firms is not unique. They WILL hire only Indians.

Thus I’m in Denver working for a Singapore-firm and soon will be in the UK working for a major UK university.

I tried locally at CU-Boulder and CSU-Ft Collins. But in their CS/programming departments, it’s almost all H1B or OPT foreigners.

Can’t comment on the insurance sector, but I have yet to see them in finance/accounting - I am a corp finance executive and have been for about 10 years - and I deal with finance folks across the country, Canada and UK as part of my job. I’ve posted several jobs in the last year and had several go through recruiters as well and saw only one Indian American apply for a job (he was a citizen) - vast majority were white folks. The big pressure in corp America finance right now is to recruit blacks and women. There is a limited number of H1Bs out there and most of them do go into IT due to the pay differential. In most of the country, corp finance/accounting jobs at entry level are 1/5 the starting pay for IT folks in San Fran, Austin, etc, so there just isn’t the wage arbitrage there. And you can’t outsource the higher up stuff to India. I think automation will do that before India will.
