from now on, when you see a person of color or a woman in a white male dominated field, realize they didn’t have the aptitude to get into the position normally.
Diversifying the cockpit? That will never be enough for these insane Cultural Marxists clowns. Next they will be wanting the passengers on board to be equitable. Critical Race Theory is a cancer that will destroy our economy.
Eventually, white males will be relegated to manual labor jobs.

I know of 3 black individuals, personally, that are quite competent and at or near the top of their “white-male dominated” fields.
(Oncology, Finance, Business).

Because “qualified” isn’t an important criterion in this.

That’s an interesting point. 9/11 upped the drive/fly distance from 4-5 hours to 6-7 hours for me. That could cause another significant increase. Plus you could have the car drive at night, and spend part of the day sightseeing along the way.
OK I guess those flight attendants went to JFK on a different flight and then joined with the L-1011 flight when it became 401 on the route back to Miami from JFK.
Still, love how they show a 727 when the pilot is checking out the panels on the L-1011. Typical.
No, I think that we should keep the regulations in place which PROHIBIT women and Blacks from training to become airline pilots.
That is what your statement implies, after all! That, during the selection process, some racist policies are still in effect DENIES women and minorities a fair shot.

the problem is... the MOMENT you give one group a leg up then all members of that group will be looked at as having had the same leg up.
this is why affirmative action (and the latest incarnation of it) are just perpetuating racial division and degrading the quality of the positions being filled (either in education or professionally).
ONLY merit based education and hiring practices allow for true color blindness while insuring the best PEOPLE for the position

Nothing prevents them from working towards that now. And even if your allegations are true, you do realize that’s a super small fraction of white pilots right? As with anything, I have zero problem with anyone whose qualified to do a job being hired for any job regardless of their skin color. If black transgendered folks were the best pilots in the world I would hope every pilot was one. However, Usually these types of affirmative action things leads to lower standards to obtain said quota. Not a huge deal if the job is HR manager, but lowering standards for a doctor or a pilot is a bad idea.
