I guess I forgot to mention that womens basketball was the sport.
Public or private, with very few exceptions, every college gets some federal funds; so they are subject to federal statutes.
The coach will resign or be fired in the very near future. If not, the young lady will be in for an even bigger payday.

The real moral of the story:
Don’t hire a coach that has a nickname that ends with “er!” Digger, Chigger, Bumper, Thumper, Gunner, Sticker or Ripper!
These schools are playing with grenades with no pins in them. These fascist teammates of hers demand the coach take action just because a player has an opinion that doesn’t kowtow to their views? I hope the school and this dipsh** coach pay dearly.
Is “Digger” Phelps still kicking? That old Notre Dame basketball coach? I didn’t even think of him until I read your reply!
