I can’t believe the ex-Rat named John Kennedy is the GOOD one in Louisiana.

True, and I was totally against “John Kennedy” in the primary (DJ was much more open to electing him) because his party switch seemed to be 100% due to opportunism rather than sincere ideological reasons. Since then, he’s been pretty solid. As I recall, most FReepers were dead set against Josh Hawley too, whereas the now treasonous Ben Sasse was a “Tea Party” favorite at the time.

Why? I don’t remember that.

Though a bunch of nobodies took over 40% combined, he had no real primary opposition. Libertarian Austin Petersen was the most notable and he placed third behind some random air force dude who was by Palin and Seb Gorka.
