No executions (except for Ashli Babbitt) no firing squads, no weapons, no politicians arrested, no looting, no fires, no shots fired (except by Ashli Babbitt’s executioner), no government buildings taken over, Congress was not disbanded, no government officials replaced, no newspapers closed down. Insurrection?? No, Romney. You may have a shot of charging the Proud Boys who had apparently planned an attack, but no others on January 6th.
But go back to 2016 on to 2020 when the FBI and DOJ officials had a concerted plan, with action taking place to overthrow the duly elected, legal government headed by Donald Trump. Now that is insurrection and all the elements of proof are already on the record. That is insurrection - pure and simple.
