True.
She is speaking about something in history which people like us knew all about. It’s not breaking news to us.
In 1993 I put up a quote from L. Brent Bozell about if we don’t stop the leftists from gaining total control of the media there is no use in participating in elections to elect conservatives.
The 24 hour news channels and media outlets giving up any pretense of being unbiased would be my reasons.
This women is a hero in her own right.

It all began when Cronkite decided he got to decide that the Vietnam war was lost.
That’s a great quote.
“The media has been this way for a long time.”
Yes, it’s been biased to the left for a long time. What’s new is the deliberate ‘assassination’ of anyone with a contrary view, even when supported by facts. They literally destroy people’s careers so they cannot be heard if against the dominant paradigm. I think that’s new.
Lara mentioned having to confront her own biases, & how she dealt with opposing views - particularly on the topic of abortion. I think she was unprepared for how supposed journalists demonized her after her Benghazi reporting.
"To your request of my opinion of the manner in which a newspaper should be conducted, so as to be most useful, I should answer, “by restraining it to true facts & sound principles only.” Yet I fear such a paper would find few subscribers… Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day… I will add, that the man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them; inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods & errors." ― Thomas Jefferson to John Norvell, June 14, 1807, The Works of Thomas Jefferson, Vol. 10, 417-8.
“If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're mis-informed.” ― Mark Twain
“Newspapers are unable, seemingly to discriminate between a bicycle accident and the collapse of civilization” -- George Bernard Shaw
"Accuracy to a newspaper is what virtue is to a lady; but a newspaper can always print a retraction.” ― Adlai E. Stevenson
"Everything you read in newspapers is absolutely true, except for that rare story of which you happen to have first-hand knowledge" ― Erwin Knoll
On Twitter, CNN media leftist Chris Cillizza quoted Ron Chernow, a Pulitizer-Prize-winning American journalist and historian:
"Campaigns against the press do not get your face carved in Mount Rushmore because when you chip away at the free press you chip away at the heart of democracy."
Ed Krayewski then answered back with quotes and his comment:
"Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle." - Thomas Jefferson, who is on Mt. Rushmore.
"The man who did nothing else (but be a muckraker [investigative journalist]) was certain to become a force of evil." - Teddy Roosevelt, also on Mt. Rushmore.
"No president ever cracked down on the press more than Abraham Lincoln did" - Harold Holzer, author of "Lincoln and the Power of the Press," winner of the 2015 Gilder Lehrman Lincoln Prize for the finest scholarly work on the Civil War or Abraham Lincoln, who is on Mt. Rushmore.
"I think most newspapermen by definition have to be liberal; if they're not liberal, by my definition of it, they can hardly be good newspapermen." ― Walter Cronkite
"The daily newspapers were the stuff in which I used to wrap my garbage. Now it is my garbage." - Norman Liebmann
