They’re mostly harmless until some empty headed vice president who doesn’t have any real loyalists of her own gets it in her mind that she’ll instantly have a team of loyalists if she just feigns interest in their petty concerns for a bit. Then she’ll put them in positions of actual influence and they’ll destroy the country in a matter of weeks.

If Israel used the same tactics of war as Hamas with total disregard of civilian causalities it would not be hundreds. It would be tens of thousands.
Hiroshima and Nagasakie had some military importance but not much at that late stage of the war. However, Japan would have fought fiercely upon invasion by us. The casulties on our side would have been immense. The casulties on the Japanese side would have been horrific beyond belief. We had total superiority in the air. Prior to invasion we would have day by day reduced their infrastructure to nothing. Many would have died by the bombs. More would have died from disease and starvation before we put one soldier on the Islands of Japan.
We had the atomic bomb. We used it twice and demonstrated we were quite capable and willing to totally destroy their society, their culture, their families, and anything they held dear. They surrendered after the second bomb.
Oddly this preserved Japan as a functioning society post war. If not for the bomb we would have invaded and systematically destroyed that society with extreme violence and malice as our casualties mounted. Their casualties would have been much greater. As normal the civilians would be the greatest portion of the casualties. The are not innocent. The civilians grew the food, made the weapons of war for the war machine. Thus are legitimate targets. Only the very old and very young both which can not contribute to the war effort are innocent.
That is the way total war works. If one can do this, no enemy will attack you.
It would have been a bloodbath as never before seen. Japanese civilians were being trained to fight with bamboo pikes if it became necessary. The bombs need to be dropped to push the Japanese leadership to surrender but even then there was an attempted coup.
How about holding Hamas accountable for launching rocket attacks into Israel and then hiding behind women and children.

Progressives and Nazis/fascists have always been close philosophically. They borrowed a LOT of ideas from each other.
It’s not just .gov jobs. It is this whole new generation who have no work ethics or appreciation for having a job. It is real bad in the medical industry. Employers are forced to fit work around the employee’s lifestyle and politics rather than the employee fitting their lifestyle around work responsibilities. Because of crybaby law suits employers have no choice. The courts and judges are at fault for awarding these frivolous lawsuits in the first place.
