Maybe Wilkow should go terrestrial.
So he’s one of those who came around during the Trump administration?
I don’t know why they just didn’t give the Rush gig to Ken Mathews.
Buck is really good on national security and related issues.
There is a “Listen” link on RushLimbaugh.com
Who is?
That Clay Travis guy sounds like a liberal. I doubt I’ll be tuning in very much.
Maybe Steyn was offered it but declined.🧐
😆Undocumented Guest Host. Steyn was always entertaining.
the station here goes from Buck Sexton to democrat apologist Charles Adams to neverTrumpers Armstrong and Getty
I prefer Jay Sekulow American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ), Dennis Prager, Eric Metaxas and Larry Elder on another local station.
If you want a sports guy with connections to OutKick, why not Jason Whitlock?
I’m surprised Prager isn’t picking up stations.
Steve Deace too.
This could have been Bannon’s for the asking, but he would have incited enough of the Trump base to drive an actual revolution — not good for the radio ad business L OF L.
Not only that, but he did one last memorial show with Katherine and said, that's it for me. I'll never be back. And he kept his word.
no one can fill those shoes.
And yet I know conservatives who thought Rush was too establishment and too big of a supporter of whomever was at the top of the Republican presidential tickets.
Rush was not anti-TEA Party and I didn’t hear Rush tearing into President Trump or dismissing discussion of the 2020 election fraud or calling for “mea culpas” regarding Charlottesville or Jaunary 6th in DC (which I HAVE heard other hosts like Armstrong and Getty doing).
Rush also came from the days of William F. Buckley conservativism. More of talk radio these days is Libertarian to RINO establishment or even more Left.
I don’t see this chair being filled by one host for all markets. Different cities will try different programming and the crowds will gravitate to what serves each of them best.
Time was even in Rush’s prime that some cities tried to timeshift Rush into other hours and hand over that airtime to local chat, real estate or medical call-in programs etc.
Certainly there are programming directors who “never got it” and had disdain for the audience even though it was a market share winner.
As everyone gets older (and programming directors want younger hosts to appeal to younger audiences and people who can sit in a chair for 5 or 10 years) we are getting farther away from certain reference points in history, politics, “America”, etc. and some who’ve swallowed the media summation of so much of America’s past.
Need a knowledgable host who can also communicate and not be repetative. Say a point and know when to move on.
Agreed. I find Sexton a bit unexcitable, but Travis will pump up him (and us).
I suggest naysayers give it a chance June 21 and beyond.
Sexton appears to have invaluable experience with how Deep State works, and Clay Travis is a licensed lawyer, well spoken, with loads of common sense. Passion for what’s right.
He’s a great father and family man that happens to like gambling and boobs and hasn’t been shy about it.
I must immodestly mention in his announcement he quoted my tagline as his life’s coda. He’s based (and grew up there, I think) in Tennessee and loves Davy Crockett lore. “Be sure you’re right. Then go ahead’.
As mentioned, he’s given conservative pols plenty of good publicity; Trump, DeSantis, Hawley. He pounded the NCAA for their woke policies and may be responsible for last year’s Big Ten football, when they were planning on cowering in a corner and cancelling their season.
I doubt sports will be a focus on their new show, but as we’ve seen for 2 years, sports has been forefront in our society.
Perhaps it will be a rehash of Hannity and Colmes? I’ll check it out. I like Grace Curley out of Boston too.
