Good Evening Kathy! (((HUGS))) - I’m at home but will be heading out on Wednesday; the way I’m flying I’ll have my yearly hours in by the middle of October - then the rest of the year off - Whoo!
That is awesome news!
These mommas have definitely been here before. They head for the creek when I open the door, but come back right to the deck when I call, Duck Duck.
Hope your weather guy is right...cooler would be nice.
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...did you and Blue get to ride? More rain?
Just hangin’ with Penny would be nice....resting up for Monday.
Those mommas know a good thing. LOL
I’d just about bet some of the other adults first paid visits as babies.
The weather report just ended and it looks like one more sauna day, then two comfy days before slowly going back to sauna by the weekend.
Rain just ran me inside from a niiiice bonfire out back. Hubby finally decided to torch the huge pile of tree debris (10 years’ worth) tonight. His cousin and a buddy came over and we were all sitting out there enjoying it.
I also got a couple of decent lightning shots while I was out there. The storm passed us to the west but we’re getting a little of the outlying rain now.
Howdy, luvie.
How was your day? Did it cool off the few degrees the weatherman promised?
Hey there, radu!
Yes, it did back off the heat a bit. I guess the high was about 98. It doesn’t sound like much, but the stress level was way less. Plus it was not humid, so it “seemed” cooler.
How were things there? Did you get any rain? Is the humidity still like a wall of hot water?
Double digits do sound better than triple digits, don’t they? That alone will drop the stress level a notch. LOL The drop in humidity helps too.
Still a sauna here and will be one more day. Then a brief cooling and drying off.
We just missed getting hit by a stout storm a little while ago. It had some nice streaks of lightning for a while as it approached. Glad it bypassed us because Hubby torched the huge burn pile in the field behind the house and that would have probably put it out. As it is, it’ll all burn by morning. Just getting some sprinkles right now.
I’m glad that the rain didn’t put the fire out. I’m sure you’ve been waiting for just the right time to do it.
Sorry that you have another day of sauna. But at least you have something to look forward to.
Remember when I hated 90 degrees? Now I’m longing for it. Perspective=everything. LOL!
Happy Flag Day - and Happy B-Day to Donald Trump!
Thank you, Ben...Happy Flag Day and 246th Birthday of the Army.
Have a good week.
WOW!! 3 months off...not bad, but really glad the planes are back in the sky.
When I retire flying is my only way out.
Was your fire able to reduce the tree pile to ashes?
I’ve been hounding him to burn it for a while. Do it now while everything is moist. We could have a long dry spell and then we’d have to wait even longer.
I’m sorry tomorrow will be another sauna too. A small neighboring town is having a Flag Day celebration tomorrow evening and the Republican women are taking part. We have to be there at 4:00 to get our stuff set up and it’s going to be VERY uncomfortable. If we could have Tuesday’s weather, it would have been perfect. Oh well.
We’ve had our share of triple digit temps and yep, 90 degrees after that is nice. LOL
The perspective is weird. Hubby, his cousin, and a buddy were standing a good 50 or 60 feet from it but it looks like they're closer.
Oh, the flag day ceremony sounds like fun. Maybe there’ll be a breeze that will help keep things from becoming too uncomfortable.
It’s still 84 degrees here. I think the humidity must be up a bit. Didn’t feel comfortable outside like it usually does at this time of night.
Guess I’ll watch one more show and then head to the barn. After getting up early, My eyelids are getting heavy. See ya tomorrow.
It is fun. They’re the only town around here that has a Flag Day event each year. Our participation is we set up a tent and table and have small flags that we give away.
Ugh, 84 this time of night is pretty toasty. It’s 75 here and feels yucky enough because it’s muggy.
I hope it’s a little cooler tomorrow. I know your kitties would reeeeeeally appreciate it.
Sleep well. Catch ya tomorrow.
How's everyone doing this morning?
