The tenth amendment states it specifically .

The power grid problems have to do with ridiculous unreliable “green” energy like wind turbines that were allowed to replace too much reliable coal and natural gas durung the last 10-15 years because of once again, idiotic federal green energy mandates, along with a massive influx of peopke and business from other states in the last few years to the point the existing system has rapidly become overloaded. So once again, we need to do whats right for Texas and fix this problem and bring more thermal energy back online. That doesnt happen overnight.

So what exactly is Biden usurping?

Texas runs its own electrical grid, separate from the rest of the country. Decisions on how it generates its power are their decisions alone; blaming the federal government for their own incompetence is not going to keep the power on. Besides, the complaint was that solar and wind wouldn't work in cold weather. That isn't the case now.

That's a lie. Way down in the article here - https://www.usasupreme.com/images-texans-froze-to-death-because-biden-admin-ordered-ercot-to-throttle-energy-output-by-forcing-it-to-comply-with-environmental-green-energy-standards/

along with other supporting facts, it states:

"In anticipation of this unprecedented power demand, Texas could have maxed out power generation. However, they couldn’t. Like a lowly beggar, Texas had to first ask for permission from the federal government to generate enough power to keep our people warm. Why? Because cranking up the power plants to full production might violate federal pollution limits."

Dirtbag biden's EPA denied ERCOT permission to temporarily exceed emissions regulations.

You know very little about Texas. Better to remain silent and have others believe that than to keep bleating noise and remove all doubt.

Undefined and uninforcible.

Nawwww!

Broad enough to cover everything except the powers assigned to the Federal Government as defined in the Constitution and, with regards to enforceability, I highly doubt Abbott would go out on a limb like this if he did not meant to put some effort into enforcement.

But if there is a possible negative spin to something President Trump does or says or a Conservative politician does or says, Ol' DoodleDawg is reliably there to point it out!

Almost any federal act requires the cooperation of state governments to enforce.

Exactly.

It would take a large show of force to physically stop workers in the middle of construction.

Given the purpose of the construction (National Security) such negative action would produce very bad optics for the prog administration.

It is not just the people of the State of Texas, it is the safety and security of the entire nation.

Such anti-American action is far different when it is a matter that all Americans can easily understand.

Illegal aliens, drug trafficking and human trafficking, these are all things that everyday American Citizens know as border issues.

Bust them and get the documentation for 2022.

If the feds don't show we get The Wall.

Win - Win.

That’s another area we need to start asserting our tenth amendment rights. All these federal EPA laws and mandates are complete unconstitutional.

Keep in mind, Texas is a state that passed legislation, the first in the country that allows illegal aliens to receive instate tuition prices for Texas public universities. They are already breaking Federal law, one would hope the State of Texas would repeal such benefits.

The Gov. of Texas, like all States, already has the Constitutional authority to prevent a invasion or threat of invasion to his state. A state, and Congress are the only powers in the Constitution given the authority of War. Preventing invasion is one such use of war powers.

Hate to say it but Texas needed the guts to assert this 30-40 years ago and took care of the building/financing and upkeep of the Rio Grande wall, not the feds. When the oil patch was making money hand over fist was the time to do it.

They should have signs leading outsiders westward along the fence and included maps to California.

Plus have residents of the states send their IRS taxes to the state..and just send money for what the Feds are supposed to do...Defense ect a.>>> and have the states return wages taxes which are not really income. should be taxed and apportioned as a direct tax.

Guatemala is p!ssed that its work force is making the trek across Mexico, and so is Mexico. Arguably, the invaders are being facilitated, not by the states of origin, but by organized international crime, and the US federal government.

But you’ve got a point about invasions. I’ve proposed letting the doe-eyed migrants live, but killing the G-ddamned Coyotes who are sending them over just on general principles. Cruz said they’re right across the border mocking Border Patrol Agents as they ferry across their humble charges, no doubt either smuggling over illegal drugs for them, or on their way to be trafficked as sex slaves, or both, or even neither. It’s intolerable, and the only good Coyote is a dead one. Private citizens with night scopes can do the job from behind a rise and then disappear. No need to wait for leave of the Governor. Mexico will probably thank you. These are criminal thugs.

And they have these boats with belt-fed .50 caliber monsters in them. Nobody on the border should be without one. A grappling hook and a crew that can work stealthily at night might relieve the cartels of their property, once the gunmen have vanished.

This is a war, and in modern wars, it’s better to be Viet Cong than uniformed regulars.

Years ago, there was talk of a cruise off parts of Africa that would allow tourists to fire at hijackers.

They should have that sort of military tourism for the Texas border against illegals.
