It is outrageous. TR did far more for natural science museums than any other president.
When he was a teenager, Teddy was an amateur ornithologist and killed and stuffed hundreds of birds.
After he was president, he went on hunting safaris in Africa, then later in S.
America. His safaris were financed by various natural history museums and special interests. The safaris were fully funded and Roosevelt killed thousands of animals and sent them out to be stuffed and put in natural history museums including, I think, that one in New York.
So it’s totally appropriate for the statue to be there. Don’t forget, he was the 33rd governor of New York.
I would love if they moved it to Florida!
Progressive but not woke.
Holy moly. Were his lips really that big?
All of the original 13 colonies symbolize colonialism.

These are the same folks that are putting up statuary to commemorate George Floyd. Let’s see, was it the passing of counterfeit money which should be celebrated, the jail time he spent for a home invasion where he held a gun on a pregnant woman, or was it his use of illegal drugs which warrants adulation?
And his father was one of the founders of the Museum!
Amen to that!!!!
100% Correct!!!!
When a nation’s history has been erased, that history becomes whatever the new hierarchy says it is/was.
It’s a short hop, skip and jump from statues to “We’ve always been at war with East Asia.”
That’s probably in the works :-(
As long as these people are running loose our Republic is in danger!!!!
We were the colonies, not the colonial power. It is time to teach American history.
They should have just removed the indian and african from the statue, and left Teddy alone
who is the “bully” now... huh?
i can’t believe it too this long.
Teddy was a giant Progressive and over his Progressive bias sought to destroy the GOP (he created the Progressive [”Bull Moose”] Party when he lost the GOP nod to run again for POTUS). Apparently the “cancel culture” does not understand Teddy is such a Progressive hero.
